DIRECTIONS
Gently shake or stir one part powdered GME into two parts of warm water. A part is any measuring device you use: teaspoon, tablespoon or cup. Do not use a blender.
All puppies should receive their mother’s milk for at least 2 days, if possible. The colostrum milk gives extra nutrition and temporary immunity against some diseases.
Reconstituted GME may be fed at the daily rate of 2 tablespoons (30 mL) of liquid per 4 ounces (115 g) of bodyweight. The daily feeding rate should be divided into equal portions for each feeding. Puppies’ needs will vary and this amount may have to be increased or decreased, depending on the individual. Small or weak puppies may need to be fed reconstituted GME every 3 or 4 hours, while larger puppies do well when fed reconstituted GME every 8 hours.
Weigh the puppy daily to assure adequate feeding.
Consult your veterinarian for additional advice.
Reconstituted GME should be fed at room or body temperature.
When a food supplement is desired for growing puppies and show dogs or for supplementing large litters, old, or convalescent dogs, GME Powder should be used at the rate of 1 teaspoonful per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight.
PREGNANT AND LACTATING BITCHES:
Mix GME Powder into the daily ration at the rate of 2 teaspoonfuls per 5 lbs. (2.2 kg) body weight until 2 weeks after whelping. Reconstituted GME must be refrigerated. Discard unused portion after 24 hours. Opened powder must be refrigerated for up to 3 months or can be frozen for up to 6 months.
WARNINGS
